
Darkhan Seitenov, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has said ties between India and Kazakhstan are growing stronger and collaborations will happen in many areas in the future. “Today, there is a lot of optimism about the Indian economy. Events like the Summit of Future will promote ties between the countries,” he said while addressing a plenary session on ‘International Cooperation for Sustainable Future’ at the Summit of Future, organised by the JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) in Kochi on Friday.
“Kazakhstan is open for all strategic alliances with India. I am confident that the Summit of Future will give additional impetus to the growing partnership. Kazakhstan is cooperating with several universities in India. Around 8,000 students from India are pursuing higher education in Kazakhstan,” he said.

Speaking at the session, Bohloeki Tlhaku Morojele, First secretary of High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho, said international cooperation is a must for a sustainable future. “Climate change is putting our lives in peril. We gathered here to reaffirm our shared commitment towards climate action,” she said.
She said the path to fight climate change is not easy. “We need multilateral agreements. Countries must move forward and forge tangible alliances to reduce carbon emissions,” she said.
